When Dad's away

So Justin took the weekend off and flew to Seattle for the BYU football game and left me home alone with the kids. We had a great weekend but today was a long day. We had stake conference, and judge me if you must, but I was not about to take 4 kids to church for 2+ hours alone, so needless to say, it was a very long day at home. So anyways, sometimes my kids get out of control and I thought this might be a good way to deal with them while Dads away.

(BTW for those of you who really think I am a terrible mother, I didn't actually do this to Dane, they got into the tape themselves and had a heyday. Then when he was all done, he took it off his legs without tearing it added a bottom to it and made a little basket for himself to hold legos in.)

  1. i remember a conversation with you a few years ago -- you said, "I don't care what people think of my parenting skills...they haven't spent a day with [fill-in-the-blank]. And I knew exactly what you meant on that day. And I know exactly how you felt on this day! :)

  2. haha....I love it!!! No judging here girlfriend. Heck, I warned the Lamborns and the Milnes when they moved in. When my windows are open...whatever they hear..just ignore as I do yell at my kids. I don't care what others think at all. Unless they want three other kids...keep out of my business..lol
You're an awesome mom and you know it. Thanks for sharing.
